Synopsis
"You might think bears rule Europe. They are depicted on so many coats of arms, flags and seals. Brown bears are considered by some to be mystical beings that rule over the forest and seem at least equal to humans. Not so long ago, the Ursus arctos was at home almost everywhere in Europe. Today it is considered extinct in many countries - in Germany for more than 150 years."

In the movie "Bear Country" the brown bears exist in a save space where humans exist as hybrids and pose no threat to bears.
Synopsis
"Man könnte denken, Bären hätten das Sagen in Europa. Auf so vielen Wappen, Fahnen und Siegeln sind sie abgebildet. Braunbären gelten manchem als mystische Wesen, die über den Wald herrschen und dem Menschen zumindest ebenbürtig scheinen. Es ist noch gar nicht so lange her, da war der Ursus arctos fast überall in Europa beheimatet. Heute gilt er in vielen Ländern als ausgestorben – in Deutschland schon seit mehr als 150 Jahren."
